One of the most fascinating things about being in a new area is learning the new customs and the differences in culture. One of the strangest differences I’ve see, but also something that makes total sense for someone that walks a lot, would be privately owned (or now claimed to be privately owned) shopping carts. These aren’t the regular ones that someone living on the streets might use to hold their stuff. These are locked in front of homes and in yards, where they can be accessed and used when needed. Again, it might be strange, but it’s not a bad idea at all. Walking a shopping cart’s amount of stuff home is a lot easier when you can use a shopping cart. Just make sure to chain it up so no one else takes it.
