4th of July in Los Angeles Sounds Like a War Zone

If you ever find yourself in Los Angeles for 4th of July, don’t worry about finding a show to go to. There is no need. The best show you could ever hope for will be happening all around you, all you have to do is walk outside to find it.

I wasn’t sure what to expect on my first 4th of July here, but I know I wasn’t expecting to have flashbacks to a war I never fought it. I wasn’t expecting to hear booms from a month before the day until a few weeks after. I wasn’t expecting the police to give all the threats in the world, but then be so busy on the night of that they don’t say a thing when they see someone lighting off another one, as long as they’re being smart about it, I guess. I just really wasn’t ready for any of that.

I’m so incredibly glad I got to experience it though. 4th of July in Los Angeles is one intense and fun day. The fireworks start before the sun goes down and continue passed midnight. I know what you’re thinking and yes, people really hate it. Pets hate it. Veterans hate it and leave the city if they can. The police don’t like it and the fire department is busy all night. BUT, for those of us that get to enjoy it, it’s an amazing day of magical noise of fun sights. It’s really unique, but damn if it doesn’t sound exactly like a warzone.
