Cheap Shot

Have you ever been sitting in the living room, cheering on your favorite war movie, throwing up your hands and feet in excitement, when an intruder showed up? No? Maybe? Yes? Do you need more time to think about it? I didn’t think this was that hard of a question. It’s pretty specific, isn’t it? I don’t really know many people that cheer on their favorite war movies, so that part of the question should knock off many of you. Having an intruder in your home is also pretty rare, so I wasn’t expecting many yeses to that, although I could see being wrong. Whatever, it doesn’t matter. Have you answered the question though? You have? Ok. Fine. Honestly, even if you’re lying I don’t care at this point.

Alright, so imagine you’re in the situation described above (not the extra stuff, just the first question). What would you do? Would you fight? Run? Run, but change your mind and turn around to fight? Start fighting, but change your mind and then try to run, only to realize the intruder somehow tied your shoe laces together so you fall instead? There are so many options to run through if you need to deal with an intruder. That alone might take so long they’re gone by the time you come up with an idea. I don’t know that that would be good.

Welp, if you’re looking for what to do, what not to do, and what things you could do, but probably won’t. You’ve come to the right place. Cheap Shot is about this exact topic and how it related to a pre-Covid world.
