Who says comics don’t sell?
Literally no one. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard that. Maybe back when they started or something, but I can’t think of a single type of comic that doesn’t sell. Shoot, I’m sure most of us out there have read Bazooka Joe comics. They were right there with the gum! It was hard to avoid it.
Speaking of comics, most of them aren’t delivered with gum. At least I don’t think they are. Being totally honest, I haven’t purchased a comic in a long time. There’s a store in my neighborhood, but it’s a small one. I want to check it out, because they have some cool action figures that I want to look at. Yeah, we’re talking about comics, I mentioned a comic store in my area that I wanted to check out, and then I dropped the bomb that I didn’t even want to see the comics they have. Yep.
Anyway, that doesn’t change the fact that I have friends that have worked on comics, from writing them to drawing them. Some do it for themselves and sell them online or in person, some do it for big companies that take care of it for them. Either way, the end result is the same, they get to do what they love and others get to enjoy it.
