Changing the Cabin Air Filter in a Boxster 986

Not every car has easy access to the Cabin Air Filter, but the first generation Porsche Boxster’s sure do. All you have to do is pop the frunk, take off the battery cover, and remove the nasty one. Then plop in a new one and tada! You’re breathing clean fresh air in the cabin of your car.

It’s something you should do far more often than anyone does. Which means you should probably get a new filter in there ever other year at worst. There’s nothing wrong with making sure you’re breathing in some high quality air when you’re sitting in the drivers seat.

Since this was so easy, we went ahead and did a stop motion video for you.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy as you learn just how easy it is to change the cabin air filter in a Porsche Boxster 986:

Freakin’ easy, right?

Hopefully yours isn’t one of those where you have to pull the whole dash out. Some manufacturers really hate the owners of their cars.

If that is the case for you, I wish you the best of luck!
