In “the business” they use a lot of “things.” This is one of those “things.”
Called an Insert Car, it’s the rig you use when you don’t want to green screen a car scene. You fold down those walls along the trailer, drive the car up, lock the sum’bitch down, then load the cameras and crew along the railings. The actors get to sit comfortably in the car while the crew hangs on for their lives.
Alright, alright, it’s much safer than that. There were actually 4 motorcycle cops that were going to escort it, and they don’t go that fast. I’m also pretty sure that everyone is strapped in to some degree. I’m not positive about that, but pretty sure.
Anyway, this is what they look like. It’s a big production to get one and get shooting on it, but if they want the shot then they’re going to do what they have to do.
